picked this up from my Aunt. It was bought new by my Uncles dad, back yeasr ago, my uncle took possesion of it after his dad died. Well my Uncle was killed by a drunk driver in Feb of 2007. The mower has sat since then. The weekend he was killed he had jus taken the deck off to replacethe pulleys. I decided to bring it back to life! Put a lil blood, sweat and tears into it!~ It has a 12hp diesel!!

Looks like a fun toy to tinker with, especially with the diesel! You should clean it up, then run it on grease/vege-oil!! Post pics when she's all dolled up!

My grandfather has one just like that! I had to change the deck belt on it a couple years ago...talk about a job! The gearbox has to come off, of course, and being as old as these things are, it didn't want to come off. I ended up having to drill out the bolts because they were so rusted and rounded, and then drill new holes and put in new hardware. I liked mowing with it after I fixed it. It'll chug some black smoke in the thick stuff.

ooo man, my dad went to a shop to get some parts for another tractor he was workin for at his work and then he saw one just like that one and he couldnt pass it up. so he bought it and then he restored it, and let me tell ya, its a diesel, and its GREAT. he replaced the hood, and the seat and he hasnt put a deck on it, but i think he had intentions, but im sure he did other stuff to it that i dont no about. then he bought a dump trailer. about 3 feet wide and 4 feet long and we use it when we get loads of dirt.
well load up about 3 wheelbarrow loads and then drive the dirt to where it has to go. its so mauch faster. the tractor runs great, its such a steal, a body saver and time saver. right now im workin at a house where i am moving a bunch of bricks and concrete, and i just load up the tractor with all the crap and then drive it out to the street and load it up into my truck and take it all to the dump. it saves so much time instead of having to bring a couple bricks at a time. I proab loaded 100-150 bricks at one time on the tractor. just wish i have a 350 instead of a 1500 gmc.
