hey there buddy. my question is how to go about bididng say an apartment complex or banks. i have about 12 residentials that i do now but i'm looking to get into the bigger money. if i broke it down hourly, i make about $30 hr. and i think i'd rather do the job by cut rather than hourly. if you could please direct me to my best alternative.

First make sure its not more than you can handle.
Second if you dont have a measuring wheel buy one. Measure the property and count the shrubs. Measure the plant beds, Then measure your edging and string trimming. Put it all together as a monthly charge for 12 months. Draw up a nice contract and get it signed. Easy right? Takes some time to do it right but you will cya.

Was only joking about the easy part.
But most of what I have learned from these guys here is to use the search feature, then measure.

On the commercial youll have to break=down all your services, such as Monthly Maintenance which will prob-include Mowing,edging,trimming,pruning,ect,ect, Mulch-cost per app,Color annuals, Irrigation Maintenance,Turf Fertilization, Weed control, Shrub care including insect treatments,youll have to figure on your contracts what to charge for each seperate duty,also per&post emergence on the weed control.
