I am curious to know how much (gallons) of 2-cycle mix you use in a year and how much your 2-cycle oil costs you per gallon. I am asking to see if Amsoil synthetic can save you some money per year. Check the following math below for cost savings.

One 8oz bottle of Amsoil Saber 2-cycle costs $2.80 (commercial acct. price)
One case of twelve 8oz. bottles costs $31.80 ($2.65 ea) commercial price

Each 8oz bottle mixed w/ 5gal fuel = 80:1 ratio (best recommended ratio)

12 bottles X 5gal per bottle = 60 gal of mixed fuel

$31.80 + $8.10 shipping = $39.90 total (tax not included)

$39.90 / 60 gal = $.67/gallon mixed synthetic 2-cycle fuel delivered to your doorstep.

Keep in mind, these prices are based on a commercial account. Commercial accounts are free and there are no inventory requirements. Email or PM for more details or questions.

You are right in the ball-park with that price. Anything under $0.70 per mixed gallon oil cost is good. Under $0.60 a mixed gallon is excellent. Especially given the performance of Amsoil products.

I sell another brand of high performance 2-cycle oil that falls in line with Amsoil. And I have sold Amsoil also. I can guarantee that equipment will run better, longer and with less carboning with Amsoil than with regualr 50:1 or the el-cheapo oil. Plus if you buy in quantity, it costs less than the Wal-Fart stuff. Win - Win situation.

My 3 biggest accounts go through roughly 100-130 gallons of 2-mix a season based on their 2-oil purchasing over the last 3 years. These are key accounts with 3-5 crews and and all their hand-held equipment is 2-cycle.

How much does each bottle yield of mixed fuel?

Quit trying to make these people do math... :D

I run through about 35 gallons per year, 13 oz in 5 gallons

I run 80:1. 100:1 and it wants to burn up the engines, honestly.

Just too hot to run trimmers and chainsaws wide open when it's 90+ out.

I buy the echo power blend 2 stroke oil. I get it for $.90 a bottle so its 90 cents a gallon. I might be paying a bit more then what the amsoil would run me but I don't go through as much as some others. Last year, I used 24 gallons of mix.

Good catch... I didn't see that

For that price, I wouldn't worry about unmixed fuel, just run the mixed stuff, it's just extra lubrication anyways.

So what if you gotta go through plugs and air filters a little quicker, you're saving $2.50 / gallon........

I run Belray H1R in ALL my 2 stroke equipment/toys at 50:1

Never a issue at all
Cost...I never worry about that when it works as it should.....no engine failures and very little wear on parts despite high hrs of use.

Cheap oils have my Toro 2T mower blowing smoke....H1R --no smoke, burns clean

How do you want me to reply? You stated the product you use is basically 1/2 price of Amsoil. If you buy it that cheap, that's great for you. I showed you my price. I can't beat it, period. Question is......is the quality the same????

I will not beg to convince you.

I was just replying to your question.. No need to get mad.....And i have used you oil 10w-30 For my mowers..just don't buy it for my trucks..It would add another $50 to my oil change price..But yea your products are very good..:usflag:

I guess He ( Amsoil ) is the sponsor, so we have to put up with this!!! To me, 100:1 for 2 cycle, 25,000 miles between oil change for cars are just stunts on consummer's expense.

I use any JASO FD at 50:1 any day and use Mobil 1 at 5000 miles or even convensional oil and change oil every 3000 miles any day.

BTW according to the unbiased test on carbon deposit, Pensoil air cool oil perform the best. If Amsoil want to prove a point. Put their oil against Stihl Ultra, Echo Power Blend, Mobil 2T and Opti 2 and run in the same condition, have a third party verify the result, then it will speak louder than anything. Better than all these pestiness. Result......Only result speaks. Don't want test compare to oil A and oil B. Have the guts, put it side by side with real oil.

Sorry, I misunderstood and did not mean to sound mad. I thought you were being sarcastic or something about how cheap you can get your mix oil. I guess I am all around confused because you had already replied to my question about how much it yielded.

Anyways, I am glad to hear you have used some products and liked them. I am curious on one thing however. To what amount would you be adding the other $50 to.( your total oil change price) and how often do you change your oil in 1 years' time? Also what truck do you run and how many quarts?

The truck listed on my sig...I use about 10.5 to 11Qts of oil per oil change and change it anywhere between 3,000 to 7,500Miles....My oil change is already at $65-$70 and really don't want to make it a $100 Oil change..I don't mine much about the mowers since its only 2Qts a mower..

Assuming you have the 6.6L here is a very close price for 1 oil change that will exceed the 7500 miles unless you have drastic engine probs. There is no reason you could not double your mileage w/ this oil and filter. I am sure this will make you panic, but very true. Here goes:

1---2.5 gallon bottle AME 15W-40 oil = $49.85
1----EAO52 oil filter = $13.15
shipping (according to price list) $8.95
Total without tax = $71.95

These prices are with a commercial account, not retail as seen of website. Retail would cost $91.05.

If you run 15,000 miles on 1 change your oil cost would be $36.00

I would need a little more than 2.5 gallons..Because before i would use Rotella T and would use 2.75 Gallons..but it does sound good..I may go and buy some now.

You have got to get over the R/C test that you saw. Too many of us have seen the results of Amsoil working good at 100:1. And I change my oil at 25,000 miles. People have been using Amsoil's products for more than 35 years. Amsoil has been in lawsuits with big oil and has always come out on top. I don't know all of the facts on that R/C test that you are living your life for but it did not seem very scientific to me when I read it. They used the same engine over and over for all of the tests.
I am using Amsoil in the real world and it is working for me. Let the R/C thing die.:hammerhead: Unbiased, give me a break, do you work for Pennzoil?
Oh and By The Way You don't have to put up with it, quit reading these threads.

Ummmm........I suggest you refer to my post titled "Free Amsoil 2-cycle Oil Samples". In fact I am putting the oil out there for people to try. Keep refering back to this post over the next couple of weeks for more results from everyone using it. I suggest reading post #'s 25,31, 44 & 48. Seems to me these "testers" are quite happy with the oil.

As seen on a Seinfeld episode.........."NO OIL FOR YOU------NEXT"!!!!!!!!:nono:

How much does everyone mix at a time? 1 gal, 2 gal, 5 gal or larger quantities? Just trying to see what the most common amount is. Thanks for everyone's input.

For my personal use, 1 and 2.5 gallons at a time. LCOs thru the shop buy mostly to mix at 2.5 and 5 gallons at a time.

As a business end user, this makes them eligible for a commercial account. No one here would pay $20/yr to become a preferred customer. It costs me $5.00+ for the packet they receive in the mail when they sign, but for the user, a commercial account is free. Works great for this type of business.
