I have participated in the L&L board for over a year now. It has in the past been a very good board. It however is in despair. I don't know if it has been hacked or if it is just a bunch of juvenile behavior, but it is a shame. I have returned to this site. I changed my user name from mmorgan to my full name of Matthew Morgan. That way many of you will know who I am. I can see many others from the "other " board are here too. Glad to see you. This looks like a very professional place and that is what I am after.

Ask away, I will help in any way I can and I am sure I will be asking of you in the future as well.

Thanks,:blob4:

(I just love those little cartoon guys!!)

BTW Welcome back to LawnSite Matthew.

To put your logo in your signature, put the link in between the brackets [withIMGhere]link[and/IMGhere]

If I didn't put in those extra words in the brackets, it would try to put an image there and you wouldn't see what I had written.

I hope this helps. If not, send me the link and I will put the link in your signature for you.

Hello also.

I am curious as to who this Lawrence Stone person is, and what his problem is. Looking at some of his posts here, he may end up dragging this board down too.

Are there some links to threads that would explain some of the stuff that has been going both here and especially "there"?

Please don't let Stone worry you, believe me, he won't bring the board down!

Welcome back Matthew and welcome to all of the newcomers. Looks like this winter (ya right) is going to be another informative and interesting one.

Stone's been a good boy/man/person since he came back here. His input has been valuable and insightful since his return from the play pen 'over there'.....

Hoopston, IL brings back a lot of memories for me. I spent a summer there in my youth, building a grain dryer. We stayed at a little motel on the side of the road and ate at a restaurant/bar. Fact is, we spent more time on the bar side than the restaurant side.

I remember that we used to drive to Decatur on weekends because the town stayed up later.

In the future it would be best for YOU to refer to me as MR. Stone.

BTW my problem is that I am an 800 lb. gorilla.

Question: Do you know what an 800 lb. gorilla does?

Answer: Anything he wants to.

I just hope the 'mass exodus' from the other site to here doesn't bring the same problems here. Wouldn't want that junk in my playground.

Welcome to all the true adults and/or professionals who have joined.:)

Hello:

I always thought that a 800lb. Gorilla was the Guy that Hosted Dennis Miller Show? LOL, That Sounds Pretty Close?

Is a good guy, and is a good contributer to this site. A lot of times people only see his "harsh" messages here and don't see his e-mails behind the scenes. He is really a great help.

Also, he builds a lot of "gadgets" and add ons to his mowers which save some big $$ and work great for him and others that copied the ideas. You can see some pics of the stuff he's done on my web site.

Once you learn how to take Mr. Stone's post's, you'll appreciate his witt and sense of humor.

Honestly, we're one big happy family around here about 95% of the time. I gurantee you would never see what happened on L&L this weekend happen here.

Hello Matthew!

Welcome back to LawnSite...the #1 lawn and landscape website on the planet! :)

Am I missing something here? What is this L&L site everyone is talking about? Did it just go sour or something? Cant believe that there is other sites like this which is as good as this. I guess I've been living in a hole.

I have other forums that I visit for my other intrests, but never heard of another one for us.

Oh well.

Who ever said it was as good as this? I think this forum is #1 around the net because of a few reasons.

#1 - the amount of people that post here beats any I've seen. We cover 6 or more COUNTRIES in our memberlist. You get responses from everyone and everywhere, not just the same 4 people, where you can't even count one because he's just feedin appetizers until you buy the full meal.

#2 - the setup is 800% better here. The forums are MUCH more organized which makes it great to zero in on a more specific area of intrest instead of wading through heaps of info your not intrested in.

#3 - This software keeps the hot topics up top. Whenever you reply to a post it pops back to the top of the list, if the post was a bomb it goes down to the bootom where it belongs. At "the other site" the post weather popular or not all fall to the bottom when another is posted. When the board is constantly spammed (probobly again this weekend) you'll see how you loose all the real topics 3 pages back. Many people post replies and they are never seen again because no one wants to dig them back up.

Lawnsite is the new millenium of internet lawncare. Trust me.

I visit the following forums daily:

Lawnsite
Plowsite
SIMA members forum
Ford Truck Discussion Forum
and L&L (stone will tell you what it stands for) ;)

I rate them in that order. The first 3 are all #1 though. They use the same software and they are the same group of people basically.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey Mr. Planet of the Apes

First off gorilla's don't type, so I take it you must be very fat. I bet you have more chins than a chinese phonebook. Is it true that you can pack your lunch in your chin?

Question #1- Hey Fatboy, is it true that you have to replace the belts on that old Toro pretty often from pulling all that lard around? Will it pull that 800#'s around in any other gear than first. It might be time for you to actually buy a hydro. Or better yet start walking, that will help you shave down that 70" waist.

Question #2- How is it you know everything? You must be real smart- You probably are a fat computer nerd. Just a wild guess.
