For those of you who run exmark and scag, which do you prefer and why? I am looking at the the lazer z hp 52 inch 23hp kohler and the tiger cub 52 23 vanguard? Price wise the lazer is 7 grand and the tiger is 7500. Thoughts and I forgot to ask the dealer if I can put a qds or ultra vac on, can I?

Thanks,

JP

You will be able to put the ulra vac on but it will only be a 2 bag bagger, you would have to get a 60'' deck for the three bag bagger. I think you will like th 23hp Kohler better than the vanguard, and I think you will like the cut that the exmark leaves. They have one of the best cuts in the industry. Both companies make great mowers but I would choose the Exmark over the Scag.

I run a lazer hp now but 48 inch 19 kaw. What you said above is almost word for word what my salesman said. He said when he uses the scag to cut the dealership, he says it is just not a clean cut compared to the exmark.

Thanks,

The Lazer leaves a nicer cut and the Scags seem better built.

Are you talking frame wise or suspension wise?

I would go Wildcat, 52" liquid cooled 26 kawasaki. If you can't get that i would get the Cub. I demoed an exmark this winter. great mowers but I have always gone back to Scag. My new 61' Tiger has surpassed my expectations on every aspect. I am very pleased with the way the velocity deck cuts. And with a stripe bar my customers are very pleased also. Demo Demo Demo.

I have been happy with the Exmark products I have used through the years. Currently I have a 48 Lazer. Never used a Scag. So I am admittedly biased.

I bought Exmark for the quality of the cut. Im not disappointed.

Anyone else? I know how well the exmark cuts, what about the scag zero turns?
