Stander Mulch / Baffle Kit

Are there any mulch kits with fully enclosed baffling for a 5 or 6 year old 42" stander.

Just picked up used 42" stander with 15hp kawasaki, gator blades, and 311 hours on the meter.

Mowing with the discharge chute leaves too much grass on top of lawns, so I covered the discharge opening with a piece of plywood temporarily to see if it would cut the clippings up more. Well, it was a little better but left rows of clippings along the right side of the deck while mowing.

So, I am looking to try some other blades and a mulch kit. Any suggestions?

Wright makes a full baffle mulch kit for this mower, it is part 95480002 for serial numbers 26288 and above (download a parts manual from http://www.wrightmfg.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Support.7931F49A-FFE3-F0A5-14FE525345D360C5).
I have a 36" and typically run highlift gator blades on it. I've never tried a mulch kit, so I can't personally recommend it. Running gators, my 36" is not much better or worse than other mowers at distributing grass clippings. For mulching leaves, triple-bladed decks seem to have an advantage. Does your 42" compare poorly with other mowers?

This mower has a serial # 16910, and a small frame. Any mulch kit available for it?

They changed the deck design, because the frame was redesigned to be narrower, so I do not know if the newer mulch kit would fit. You could write to Wright or call them. Best of luck!

Try the MEG MO blades and you don't need any mulch kit.

olde_blue.... had it "Wright". kit # 95480002 will work.

I called Wright this morning and was told this kit will fit my older deck but I will have to mark and drill the holes. I placed the order today with my local dealer.
