Can anyone give me an idea of what prices are on Sod in this area per roll or skid and how long each roll is? I think the last ones I saw were like 2ftx6ft and I think around $6. But I'm not sure. I have a guy that will be needing about 1500 sq foot.

While I'm at it, is sod generally a shade and sun mix? And what are the most popular varieties up here in zone 5-6?

Different area but 500 sqft per pallet, $200-250 per pallet. I would charge $1500 installed (if no major prep needed).

What kind of time would u say would be involved in this ( if no major prep was needed)?

Wow! That is really low! I only know of one place out here and they say they're $6/roll for 10sq ft. I'm sure there's others though.

Is the $6/ roll from a home and garden center? That price seems high to me. If it is from there, find a sod farm. It should be cheaper and better quality seeing it would be cut for you at the time you need it and not sitting a pallet for weeks.

One question for you. Have you ever laid sod before?
