RSG,

Can you tell me who makes that nice looking SS storage box mounted under that trailer? I can't see the brand label on the front good enough to read the name.

Tnx.

RSG,

Tnx for the box pictures, I'm going to check out their website in just a bit.

That's a good idea with what you did to the trailer tongue too.

I like all the storage compartments, how about a few more pictures of that tank, how many gallon is that and is that little black box that the hose is coming out of the pump?

I remember when I was younger a couple of guys around town had their headache racks on their dumptrucks with built in fuel tanks, you don't see that anymore. Illegal I don't know?

little black box is the storage box for the nozzle. there is a little toggle switch which operates the pump that you can see mounted onto the tool box supports. the hose reel is mounted (hidden) inside the trailer frame and reels out 20' and then self-retracts. fuel tank is 45 gallons, seems like not enough....but that is the only tank I could find to fit, and with weight and all.....it works just fine. Best thing about it, is that I keep deck space free and no one knows it is there.

RSG,

Do you have a hole in the deck of the trailer that allows access to that filler neck on the tank?

Is the pump powered from the truck when the trailer is plugged into it?

Got a hole in the deck with a custom lock and filler neck all made up. Ran a wire from the batteries to a dedicated line through the trailer plug to the fuel pump......

here's a few shots of the aluminum billet locking cap that I routered into the deck so it is below deck height. i park my hoe in the same spot on the trailer, so I can open and fill it with the hoe on deck.

Crab..direct link thumb rotation on the one I had was about 90 degrees. Progressive link gives more rotation.....this one gives about 158 degrees.

RockSet, nice trailer. All those little touches would make life so much better. The hidden fuel tank is monster. On your Gehl you have the bucket cylinder covered, what is the benefit?

I have those covers on the bucket cylinder and each of the two dozer cylinders. they are made of a kevlar type material and protect the rods from scratches, nicks and any debris......military uses them on their machines and alot of the pits use them where there is high wind and blowing sand (sandblasting the cylinder rods). I figured for a couple hundred bucks I could increase the life of the cylinder rod from damage.

I have never seen that before, learn something new. Good luck on the Pete and X decision.
