I am trying to see if my app times are average or to slow. This is both for the guys with hoses and with ride on's.

I have a HPS I made booms for and a 14 gallon tank with a 100 hose reel. I can do a 5 to 7K house, front and back in about 20 minutes. This includes spot spraying. This is the liquid apps, not granular fert.

How do your times compare? Please give real times.

Thanx

By the time I unload my PG spray/fert and load back up it takes about 5-7 minutes to do 10K. Then bp spray and blow off sidewalks another 10+ minutes.

I would say that 20 minutes/10K lawn is a pretty accurate number if you are doing it right (using granular fert and liquid weed control).

liquid apps only I'm assuming and no granular fert for the time?

20 minutes for a 5-7k lawn... maybe ok

5-7k for me would be about 15-25gals of juice, 1.5 gal/min nozzle, about 15 min assuming it is one pull and not a PITA old lady's house with the gazing balls everywhere.

Good thing you have the reel because the booms is worthess on that size yard.

Depends.
C4 turf type dictates different material as what works without non target effects won't work on another, different C4 turf type.
Provided the tank is all mixed and ready to go - 15 minutes max.
If I have to change chemicals due to different turf types, add at least an hour to account for the cleaning of the tank.

We squirt it on and try to do 1k/min at 3gal/1k. By the time we pull the hose / apply / wind the hose up and fill out the paper work it takes about 10-15 minutes for 5-7k.

Unless it is a lonely, talkative old lady, I would say 10-15 minutes. We run 2gpm and 2g/k, so 5-7 minutes with the trigger squeezed. Another 2-3 minutes to deal with the hose and fill out the paper work. If I am on a tight route and not being bothered with chit-chat, I can do 4-5 lawns/hr. That is just liquid.

15-20 mins sounds about right inc paperwork, load/unload etc

If you ignore drive time, from opening truck door to shutting truck door, I'm 7-10 minutes each, running liquid. My lawns are mostly that size range.

MWHC hit the nail on the head. 1min/1K is average for actual time spraying. Then factor in time to fill out paper work, usually about 2-3min by the time you hang it on the door. That's if your set up for spraying only, IE.. tank unit in back of truck, pull the hose and go.
