this mower needs about $300 dollars of parts and a few hours of work if your good with a wrench. the mower is not firring on one piston so i took it to the dealer and he said its the ignition trigger. its easy to replace. it also has a small crack in a plate on the back of the engine, the dealer told me it is a very common problem because the vibration of the exhaust does it. this is a little harder to fix because the engine has to be pulled to do it. or you could do one of two things the dealer suggested, 1) replace the engine for about $1200. 2) jb weld it and forget about it until the engine goes in another thousand hours and then replace. the last problem is a head bolt that the head broke off on, i was going take the head off and then weld a nut on it to get it out but the i was told to leave it. i could fix all three problems the right way in under a day with a few hundred bucks so think about it and YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO PAY FOR IT i am very ready to sell.

check my equipment link on pages 10 and 11 for more info and pics

Does that say its a 61 with a 22hp?

That was a common configuration until the 27 lq kawi came out.

yes it has a 22hp on it, its actully ok until you get on a real steep hill or wet thick turf but for 85% of lawns it does just fine.

go to this link and look at the third pic down, the one that is the back of the engine. look for the three bolt holes all in a line on top of each other. one set of three is to the left one is to the right. the crack is around the middle bolt hole on the right side. maybe that helps but either way its that whole pecice the shaft goes through that needs to be replaced.

04-07-2008, 07:46 AM
I asked you price you had in mind. Are you serious about selling it?

04-07-2008, 10:17 AM
and your in what state? use your head and call around and get prices of the parts you will need to fix it, subtract that from my original asking price and then a few hundred more for the time it will take to fix it. like i wrote five time make an offer if you want to buy it. its because your not serious about buying it.

04-07-2008, 10:43 PM
well i was serious. Now as i see who i am dealing with i am not.

04-07-2008, 10:49 PM
well i was serious. Now as i see who i am dealing with i am not.

i have delt with about 75 tire kickers in the last two days. what price would make you happy? seriously im not trying to be a A$$.

ok i was asking $4300 before i knew it was broke so lets say you want to just throw a new engine on it for $1400. so a good offer may be around $3300. let me keep the old engine and the highback seat maybe offer around $3000. im open to ideas im more then willing to work with some one to make the buyer happy. tell me to drop a grand because your going to get a new engine, then you could go buy the trigger from a dealer off a used engine jb weld the crack and be in a nice rider for a low price.

Picasso take a little advice here, sell your mower, keep your mower, but stop wasting your energy going back and forth with these guys on here.

04-13-2008, 07:46 PM
i see what the site is full of now. i was just trying to give some one a deal, i know i would pay 2500 for the mower if i needed another. no big deal i know it will sell if i run a ad.

04-13-2008, 07:52 PM
BY the way thats your old power rake in my signature. I used it the other day on my yard. It was a good buy.

04-13-2008, 07:55 PM
i was going to ask how it is working, im glad to see its getting some use now. it is a pain in the a$$ to push though i was going to put some wider pneumatic tires on it to make in roll better.

04-13-2008, 08:01 PM
Yeah Make No Mistake About It, You Have To Man Handle It Around. I've Been Working Out So It Wasn't Too Bad, Plus The Yards I Plan On Using It On Aren't That Big. If I Had To Dethatch A Large Size Yard I Would Definitely Get A Jrco Attachment.
