Since we see all of these professionals with stripes, lets see some homeowner's stripes.

Here is my back yard...the house is new and the grass was planted in September of 2007. I have 2 golden retrievers and as you can see, it tough to keep a nice lawn as they kill the areas they pee on. This spring I want to do some landscaping and in the fall plan to plant some more grass seed and a couple moderatly sized oaks.

Take a look and feel free to tear me a new one!

Here are pics of my yard and for the dog thing, put tomato juice in their water and it will lower the acidity, it works for our dogs, im sure it will work for you.

eric, it doesn't look like you're optimizing the full width of your deck. Frpm the picture, it looks like you are only making half passes on there.

GPS.. if you are talking about the chain setup... the tires mash down the rest of the grass. No need to go all the way across.

I know what you're talking about with chain set ups. I directed my comment to Eric, the guy who started the thread.

If you look at his stripes, they don't look real wide. I'm not sure how big of a deck he is running, but I'm sure it's wider than what those stripes look like.

Yard looks great. As for the tomato juice, how much are you putting in the water? Is this an every day thing you must do?

Non of my business but I am curious how much a place like that costs down in NC? Reason I ask is because housing costs so much here its not even funny. Your place here where I live would easily go for 1.2 million.

Just like you see it.. about 380k
On the width of cut which is a 48"... It was my first time using and I was aiming for the tire marks but after that I started going a little wider because of the deck being wider then the track.. heck I was on a 33" deck

In North Jersey that could run 2.2 million. They built a new development though the woods from my development and the lots alone are $250.000. :dizzy:

no not everyday, we do it about once or twice a month, i eye the dogs and when i see the spots start to come back i give them some, as for the amount i put it in their until the water is red(cant see through it).

I've been lurking around for a while, finally got brave enough to join...

Here's my contribution to the homeowner stripes. Pic 1 was 5 days after a cut and pic 2 was the morning after a cut. The lighting was a little flat and my blades need to be sharpened.

The kids are requesting circles next time. That should be interesting :dizzy:

Dang! Not the type of homeowner stripes I was thinking. The only ones I see are when the homeowner uses a drop spreader to fertilize and doesnt quite have the spacing down!
