Whats in store for the future? Is anyone going to change the way they do things?

Finally going to get my stuff together, and do all my billing and stuff with the computer. I'm going to get either Quickbooks 2000, or Quickbooks Pro. I've looked at Lawn Monkey, and Clip, but they run in conjunction with Quickbooks. I was told that Quickbooks alone would handle my billing and such. Any suggestions or comments?

I like the quick books pro. It seems to do everything I need it to do and its not to difficult to understand. you can set your business up and get a good glance at how well your doing.

I run QB pro 2000 and will for a while. It does everything I need it to do and more. I have customized all my estimates, invoices, ect. It is nice to compare income, costs, ect at a click.

I learned everthing on my own. (I had a little help from the CPA but not much.

Quickbooks Pro is very easy to use. You will learn it quickly. I currently run Quickbooks Pro 2000. 2001 is out and 2002 is already being sold through Intuit - Quickbooks Pro 2002 (http://www.intuit.com)

On the newer Quickbooks Pro you will be able to Invoice through e-mail by placing your invoices online. Your customers will be able to read them and pay online. I think you must sign up with a merchant account.

For all of you die hard Qbooks users, go to the lawnmonkey web site and check out qb express. It is lawn monkey without the financial info you get with quickbooks. Your database from qbooks goes to qbexpress and qbexpress takes care of scheduling and management. I am leasing qbexpress gold for $44 a month and it looks like I will purchase it soon!

I'm going to run numbers in January, tighten up on my commercial bidding for next year. Time to really expand or get out. I've outgrown working out of my house, so I'll have to get a shop, most likely, have to generate extra $ to pay for it.
