Started out with a 21" Toro Pro-Line and blower,trimmer, and a
S-10 pick-up. Now I'm running a Walker MT w52" SD deck, Husky 322L,Sthil blower, and a 5'x10' open trailer. Still using the S-10. It's now for sale as it really don't have the GUT's to pull my equipment anymore. Only has the 2.2 4 banger. Moving up to a FULL SIZE of some sort. It was OK when I started with just a 21" and the handheld equipment. I didn't expect the business to GROW as fast as it did. My advice to new people starting out buy a FULL SIZE with a V-8 and 4WD if you plan on adding snow removal to your services.

I ran a toro 48" s/d w/ velke, stihl fs-80 tristihlmmer, stihl fc-85 edger, stihl bc-80 handheld blower, stihl bg-420 back pack blower, and a commercial honda all year. just perchased a 26 hp. efi walker w/ a 48" ghs and a 52" s/d. i used a 5x8 utility trailer and that would fit all the equiptment, and now it just hold the walker and all the hand help equiptment. Here is few pictures.

what size is that truck? looks darn good and strong to me.... how about the width on that trailer? looks like u got two mowers side by side. do u have trouble with such a long trailer? would u like to put ur picture on my site?

My truck is a 2500
The trailer is 20' long with extended tounge I have no trouble backing it up. Actually the longer the trailer is the easier it is to back up. My 20' is easier to back up than my 16' trailer.

Trailer width is the minimal, I didn't get the extra wide becuase I have no need.

Yes I would like to put it on your website.

Hey Duncan
Did u have any problems with striping from your Turf Tiger?? I have a 2001 Turf Tiger 52inch and sometimes it stripes like a three wheeler. It seemed it got better when i added a stripe kit to it but not totally. Also which Scag WB are u thinking of getting?? Cause we are thinking of getting a Scag WB Hydro like a 48 or a 52inch.
Otherwise u have a nice trailer for expansion, plenty of room for another Turf Tiger, id just rather have a Ford Diesel Pull that trailer he he:D
Nice setup and good luck in the new year

My turf tiger does not stripe as good as I would like it to. I have to say the better the grass is the better it will stripe. I don't live near a big city where people spend alot of money on their yards. In good grass it will stripe better.

I plan on getting a 48. I have a 52 and love it the snapper walk behind is a real good mower. I am switching because the 52" will not fit on my side gate and I no longer use the walkbehind like I did my first year so I don't need the full 52. I want the 48 Hydro mainly to go in small places. Don't get the advantage deck if at all possible. You can't get as close to a post, tree, etc... From experience there is no major advantage over the standard.

I looked at the Ford Diesel, Nice truck but I love the interior on the Dodge, alot more comfortable than the ford for me. Plus I couldn't pass up the deal I got on my dodge.

Why do so many of you guys have differnt size mowers? I understand if you have a 52" and a 36" but I noticed that many of you guys have a 21" 36" 52" and a 48". Why not just have a 21" and a bunch of 52"s or a 32 and a bunch of 48"s. Whats the point to all the differnt sizes?
