I have to give a bid on putting in a 6" drainage pipe for a guy. It is about 175' long in a wide open back lawn. Just wondering what a ballpark figure for something like this would be. Thanks

What kind of drainage are you installing? The reason I ask, is you are installing a 6" pipe, which is large for drainage. Are you hand digging or using a trencher? If by hand I figure for every 10 feet is 1 hour of labor. Are you going to cut the curb? Do you need to pull a permit for the job? How many drain collectors are you using? Are you using thin wall pipe or corrugated pipe? These are the things I start to figure into my bids. $10 a foot may not give you a good profit margin after the job is done.
