I wanted to use this product personally and for a couple of clients that have a real need to re-seed this spring. I am getting quotes of $19.75 to 27.00 a pound (guess who has the highest price). The application rate for existing Turf is 16 - 24 pounds per acre. Nobody seems to stock it with 100 miles of me. Am I getting bogus prices or is this stuff that expensive? We're talking $100.00 per 10k FT2 - at the low end of the application rate - just for the product. Yikes... I'm not sure my clients are going to go for this.

What are you guys paying?

Well, I know it retails for $114.00 at our John Deere Landscapes store. However, that's for homeowners and small landscapers who don't do much business. Our bigger customers are getting it for considerably less money. It is expensive and always has been.

Does that include Starter Fertilizer too? How many pounds are in the bag?

For clarification purposes - I was addressing the pricing for standalone PBI/Gordon Tupersan WP. Not a blended/mixed or granular product.

We paid $ 47.00 for 30lb. bag. The rate was listed at 2lbs. per K.
Add that to the short control period (6 wks.???) and you have a hard sell to customer.
I tell them if at all possible wait til fall. More than likely you will have to reseed then anyway.

The rate sounds right, but your price is way lower than my local LESCO dealer is quoting (they don't carry it). Would you be willing to provide the name and number of your supplier... maybe they will ship it to me?
