parking pad help

im putting a concrete parking pad off my drive havent really done much with concrete. but i have have clay and its really hard can i just level it off and put the concrete down or do still need to put a sand base and compact it.

Sand base? we never use a sand base. I only use 3/4' blue stone we take out about 6 - 8" of clay then bring blue

we have used 3/4 blue stone, but also road pak...we usually like to do a 6" base

Road pak is that recycled concrete? The problem with recycled concrete is that when it gets wet is expands, the pieces of brick rot out causing voids. The drainage is poor, causing cracks
