Never owning a Kawasaki I was just wondering if they all need valve adjustments or just the larger engines. I'm guessing Kohler doesn't need the adjustment because of hydraulic lifters or am I way off base here. Probably a silly question, I'm no expert on small engines but taking the time to get the valves adjusted during the growing season would be an inconvenience.
They recommend every 300 hours. Its no big deal to adjust them.

All the Kawi's I own need them. I think my small honda GX160 needs them also. I just check them during the offseason and they are usually fine.

thats why kohler has the lifters. less maintance and noise. if its got overhead valves they need to be adjusted. same with briggs.
