Maybe your having trouble because that part number is not listed on Deere's site, Your model number shows part # GY00142 for the muffler ?

THat was the part # that came up throught the John Deere site. I was just trying to see if there was cheaper price somewhere else...

not on a deere john you wont, you about have to use there parts.
