Ditto on the QuickBooks Pro suggestions. Invoices is only one part of running your business. Tracking income and expenses is absolutely necessary. When somebody wants something simple to prepare invoices, that tells me they aren't managing the financial end of their business, rather looking for a quick-fix for one small part.

no, at first I was just looking for invoices so I can bill customers. The expense, taxes, and income I was already going to use a software to track everything. The only really expense I have is my ztr, which I start paying 7 months from now. O yeah, gas,oil filters and ect... Buy the way, I do manage all the finances in my house hold and the business! just cause I ask about an invoice, you want to judge my business practices. all I know is all my equipment is paid for, except ztr which is new. If it never rains and grass doesnt grow, I still have money in the bank. this is just part times for me, I can pay for my ztr from my full time job.(2 - :laugh:16hr shift means 5 days off for mowing or whatever I want to do)

We use quickbooks simple start free edition and it does our invoices, expenses, income....everything. I have found no reason to upgrade to Pro but would love to hear why others feel they had to.

edgeman -- I'm sorry if I came across harsh. Your initial post reads the same as many others in this section. I think that is many cases, the business owner has no handle on managing the finances of their company, rather they are merely seeking some way to handle invoices.
In your case, it sounds like you have software to manage other part of the business. However, if you have a software package to track the other items (e.g. expenses, incomes), I am surprised that invoicing is not part of the features of the software. I would consider that circumstance to be highly unusual.
I like your business model of only having an expense with your ZTR, and that won't be for a few months. I think I'm not alone in being envious that your business has such few expenses that need to be tracked. Maybe you have a marketable plan that others could use.

I figured out the quickbooks software, to do estimates, invoices and the whole 9 yards. And with the ztr, I didnt really need at the time, but it was the last 07 turf tiger for $8700 with 3.9% and no payments for 7 months. So I jump on it rather pay $10,100 a week later for the same machine and no free 7 months either. I dont have yards big enough to use it yet, but Im not paying on it either. So I hope get something big soon. thanks again
it okay, I was just having a bad day. I understand what you were trying to say. No hard feeling here, bro.:)
