We won't be using micro-mulch next near if our blower ban passes so we can take advantage of the discharge to blow drives. Was wondering if there is a someone that will man. & ship OCDC's for 36WB's. Has anyone made their own?

We made our own.

I don't know of a manufacturer.

I am in the process of making one for a 52" and a 44" toro by modifing the existing discharge chutes and adding a universal automotive manual choke cable as the control.

I will post pics when I am done sometime next week.

Someone else made one like this, using the choke cable setup, but I don't remember who it was. It was on a ztr, though. Does anyone remember who this was?

Casey Guido has some pics posted at his site of his version (or someones) that they made and it had adjustable settings. I believe it was a piece of steel welded to a handle oversimplified.

LGF, you owe me $5 for a long distance phone call. They only make 'em for riders.

What brands does Quickchute make covers for? Are they brand specific (exmark) like York Sheet Metal? Are they adjustable?

Thanks,
Mark

You mean to tell me they can't get one to fit a 36"? Sorry dude. I thought they might have one for your mower also....

Chopper Lover; brochure says Exmark, Scag, Bunton/Bobcat and many more Zero-Turn mowers.

I would like this chute better than the one that comes on a chopper. That one hangs on the trailer when down or up.

Thanks, I will give them a call tomorrow or Monday and see what they have...

Mark

PS. Just so you know, I don't own a Dixie Chopper, I own a Gravely that I really like a lot... My heart belongs to the original Choppers... Those powered by Harley!

Casey why don't you have a welder make you one for about $100 or less.

You could post in the welding forum and have 75/Rob make you one. If I'm not mistaken he is a fellow Canadian too.

We no longer have $1 bills but I'm sure you would enjoy using our coinage.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

You use some expensive toilet paper, or is it the kind with money printed on it?

Go to Canada and you can use the coins or the 3 sea shells method(demolition man movie)

The checks in the mail (you've heard that one before)

Which part hangs up? I have one on my XW2500 and I've never had it hang up on anything.

Hangs up going up or down the gate when down.

Catches on the side of the trailer when up.

I read in the other thread you cut the part off that causes most of the hang ups off.

I took it off because of that and really never used it.

I no longer have choopers, but do have a need for one now.

So I will go with York Sheet Metals. May even try and weld on up.

The newer DCs have a removable peice at the bottom that you can take off if for whatever reason. I still don't see how you were catching it on anything though. Oh well, if you were then you were.

The question is why does no one make an OCDC for a WB. I have e-mailed York numerous times requesting a quantity shipment of director's for a WB with no response. If anyone has got a director for a WB from York please e-mail me. Otherwise it looks like a big hammer & a choke cable will have to do.

Looks like there is a small market for them.

I'll see what I can come up with over the next few months.

Seems to me the market for director's would be much larger than for ZTR's. Just a guess but WB's probably outsell Z's by a large margin. Also WB's are more often used in tightly landscaped areas where a director would be most beneficial.

I ment I would design and fabricate for the WB, the ZTR goes with it.
