buying a used trailer, what to look for

might be buying a used enclosed haulmark trailer. 8x20 7000gvwr. what should i be on the look out for?

A new one! Seriously, when I was looking for a small utility trailer last year, I looked at some used and I've looked at a few used enclosed this winter (I'm not really in the market yet but like to look) I came to the realization that used trailers are either crap, or priced so close to new that its not really worth the risk of the unknown. Trailers, no matter how good they are, are not build like a vehicle. They won't take anywhere near the abuse your truck will, so by the time the first owner is ready to sell, he's beaten the life out of it.
