Kohler 14hp on a scag 48". She was hard starting this spring, but got it running with some starting fluid. Now the carb is filling with gas and dripping out the vent tube when the mower isnt running. Any ideas how to fix or causes. thanks

You need a new float needle seat, ----that or the needle--in either case, get a re-build.

I don't know 14hp is like 15hp but if it is you can only replace the needle and that may do it. Get a carb kit. In 4 situations I have had over the last two years I had to get a new $70 carb because apparently the seat is pitted. Good carbs from Mexico on Kohler now.

Clean out the carb...may have varnish in it causing the needle to stick. Check the Kohler web site....www.kohlerparts.com..and enter as guest.
