Hi,
I'm thinking that our new 27cc engine might be a better fit for the extended reach trimmer. What do you guys think?
The TBC-260PFL retails for $429.99 and the TBC-280PFL would retail for $449.99. Anyone want to field test a TBC-280PFL?

I would love to put that bad boy to the test. There are a couple of heavy areas that I am in regularly that would really show how that trimmer can get it done.
That and my wife having a masters degree in education to help with the article writing afterwards should be great.....:clapping:

Perfect. Hopefully we can prove the PFL's aren't just for tall guys.
Also, I forgot to mention that the weight of the -280PFL is only 13.4 lbs. The -260PFL is 13.2 lbs.

That is what I was hoping. I will be using it on banks and in a ditch.

I would try one out. I am 6'1" and have one property I maintain with 4-5 foot ditches.

If you havent found a tester yet I would love to test this bad boy out. I am 5'11" and our echo srm-230's hurt my lower back because I find myself slightly in a humped over possition.

I would like the change to run your new product. There is no tanaka dealer for at least one hour away. Me being 6'4 it would help me from benting over so much. My crew of 4 maintains ruffly about 140 yards weekly. We have been using Stihl product for the past 4 years. But no so happy with the 4-mix stuff. Also we used shiwidaia product for 8 year before stihl.

I keep reading about the longer trimmer, which makes a tremendous amount of sense, although I have never tried one I would love to feel the power to weight ratio. I guess the extra length makes it slightly heavier which is a very big concern. I live in Florida and I have never seen a Tanaka Dealer in 4 years, so I haven't had the opportunity to try any of your equipment.
I see on your website that you claim to have the best power to weight category, how does you trimmer compare with Stihls power to weight ratio? Is the added length worth the added weight? Thanks

Hi,
Sorry, I do not have power to weight on other companies. For tall guys, I would think the slight added weight would be worth it instead of hunching over all day.

Yes yes yes it would, just had to say that. After using a still stick edger and then going to the tanaka trimmer, its so worth it for saving my back. :weightlifter:

Just wanted to let the guys asking to for the field test know, that I am currently in the process of testing now.
One thing is absolutely sure, this trimmer is really LONG!
