Some projects around the house this weekend, re-did a retaining wall that the previous homeowner totally messed up. Added planting areas on the sides removing the lava rock and plastic trim and replacing it with left over blocks from a past project. The other pictures are the lights I added around my deck. I also flipped the mulch and added 4 pink beauty potentilla bushes. The new retaining wall added needs some soil added and some plants also in the trellis area need to add more mulch and some new plants. Let me know what you think. Mike

Yeah it does feel good to get it done. Now im just waiting on the wife to pic out what type of plants she wants to add to the new planting areas. It took about 4 weekends couple hours here couple hours there to get the time to complete. Next I have to finish painting the deck (I started last fall) I can't wait!!!!:dizzy:

Well we bought the house about a year ago and I thought the list would get shorter by now, but it keeps growing. re doing the block wall was on my list because the previous h/o did not use a base he just layed the blocks on the dirt causing them to not sit right.

Looks nice, I know what you mean about how the list keeps getting longer. I just started installing a planting bed at my house. I edged it out, tore up the sod, now I just have a nicely shaped dirt patch that I need to fuiger out what to put there. But theres tons of projects like that I always talk about getting around to doing someday. Yanno how it goes.

What was the base that you used?
