What makes it super easy to be able to fert?

Is it to be because its easy to get customers, or it is to be easy to skit the law?

this season. It is soooooo easy.....and easy money. Now my season isn't 6 months long....I'll be able to earn money 8 months out of the year now. Do it. Before long you have so many 1/4 and 1/3 bags of supply left over....you end up getting 4 or 5 jobs done with out any material cost to you. PROFIT!!! :usflag: I just started by using the spreader guide on the fert/seed/lime and have never burned a yard or anything....nothing but compliments.

Peace

Nice accounting theory. It seems like that's what's happening and that how people get lured into low balling but costs tacitly average out over all of your jobs. Profit isn't determined until you close the books on a given accounting period.

For up to 1/4 acre $200 bucks. Going price around here is 200 - 300. We tell the customer that depending what their yard looks like, that they'll get about 1/2 - 2/3 bag of seed w/ fert and lime. We got an automatic soil tester....we give them that for free....but then we save on fert and lime (or at least put the appropriate amount down). People don't mind or ask about how much seed when we give them the soil test free....most others charge.....but we throw it in to get a good name out there.

So my partner gets a 1/3 of the job, the business gets 1/3, and I the owner/operator gets 1/3. My guy is happy because he cut the yard (paid by yard) and made about 65 bucks in another hour treating the lawn.

THEN...w/ the leftover supply.....the business gets 65 bucks to go in the bank (except for gas and wear and tear costs).

I could do it and make more....but I run this part time and just run the business. I try not to cut or anything anymore.....but I did get out there and do some lawn treatments (I bought/own the equipment I had to use it).

My partner/friend loves it because he was a $12 an hour landscaper who's now bringing in more every week then he was every 2 weeks working for someone in the same or less hours.

Anyhow....bottom line...lawn treatments are easy money.

Peace
