Tonight Im going to look at a 1996 Chevy Cheyene 3/4 ton 2wd pickup. Its only a 305 V8, and has 172,000 miles on it. So its got to be a tired truck. Id definately have my mechanic take a looksee. Anything in particular to look for in/on it?

Since you say its a tired truck, why are you bothering to look at it. I would be looking for a truck I can have some faith it. You need a good running truck, not a tired headache machine. JMO

I wasnt %100 sure, just sounded like that maybe, but ive had a lot of people say otherwise. I went and saw it, (wasnt able to drive it, or see it run, seller wasnt home) but on the outside, DAMN!!!!!! Looks better than half that come off the lot, it also had dual straight pipes, and mudflaps, and it was darrk out, but I saw NO RUST! The interior was in just as good of shape, I thinkl Ill give him a few 100 to hold it till dad can get a better look, but its in AMAZING condition, so it had to have been kept up NICELY. I wasnt sure like I said about the "tiredness" of the truck, but boy do I think I was wrong.
