I have a gravely walk behind brush t mower for cutting heavy brush in the woods. The blade was working fine but stopped and now won't turn. I did put a small amount of 90 wt. gear lube in it - should I have used auto trans fluid? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you:confused:

If this is a old handlebar tractor with the 30" deck and 90 degree gearbox it's supposed to have 90 wt. in it to little below the half way mark or the small plug on the side.

There is a clutch on the end of this gearbox that could be slipping or the lining wore out/broken. Remove the four screws holding the deck to the front and you will see the clutch on the end of the shaft.

It's number 43 and the lining disc are #5;
