We are looking at getting a 07 or 08 chevy 2500, just wondering if you have had any problems with yours.
Are you happy with your truck?
Thanks
I do not have a ton of experience with the new LMM duramax's(newest engine code) but I have a 2006 LBZ duramax and love it. I would reccomend getting a 06-07(classic body style) LBZ over the new LMM.

have a classic 07. its been pretty good. its been in the shop three times, for door handle replacement, three engine recalls, and a rattle in passenger door. im guessing it was pretty well abused from the previous owner. and i already had to replace the speakers. other than that, not to bad. i only have to keep it for another year or so.

I love my 02 GMC Duramax. I'm at over 120,000 now with no major problems. I think it's the best choice among the big 3. Another vote for you to head over to www.dieselplace.com

Just turned 7000 miles on my 2008 duramax, this is the 4th generation duramax, and they just keep getting better! $7295. for this engine combined with an additional $1200. for the allison 6 speed. WORTH EVERY DIME! The duramax /allison is the combo that ford & dodge wish they could offer but cant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Father owns a paving company and we recently baught 2 new trucks a 08 chevy 2500 duramax/allison O problems. I have personally driven the truck and I love it. But we also baught a 07 dodge ram 3500 dually. With the 5.9 cummins and I love it even more. All of the other companies bought the new fords and have nothing but problems out of them. You will be happy with dodge/chevy. I will be the first to buy that awesome looking tundra dually with the hino engine in it. Just my 2 cents

My 02 pulls/hauls anything, interior is actually nice (Fseries superduty SUCK inside), rides great etc... the new 08's are GORGEOUS! I don't know anything about the LMM but personally, I'd look for a optioned-out 07 classic for a killer price.

Like my 07.5 LMM. 16,000 mi on it now, and 2 minor issues. Awesome power.
Im getting 15-16 mpg around town towing a 4000 lb trailer. X3 on Dieselplace.
Great site. You will notice though that most people having trouble with there LMM have put mods on em.

Yea, another vote on dieselplace. Alot of info. And i'll second that on the people with the mods. Drive it like your suppose to, don't change anything, and it will do you good. The problems start when you add stacks, lifts, tunes, and even air filters.

Thanks for all the info, sounds like everyone is very happy with their truck. I will check out the website that has mentioned.
A dealer here has a 07 crew cab with a $43,000 sticker, I think I could get $10,000 off that. Does that sound like a good price.
Thanks

'07 new model 2500 DMAX.......13,500 miles and I'm seeing 16mpg around town and 18-20 on the highway.
Lots of power. I spoiled myself buying the truck and sometimes wonder if it was smart spending the extra $. Well at the end of the day I enjoy every moment I sit my butt in that seat because I've earned it. Truck is strong, no issues and I'm not nice to it. Governed at 95 btw.

Crew cab, loaded but cloth seats........$41,200.........sticker was $48,000.
I paid about $34,000 for my 2006 LT3(every option including sunroof) Crew cab long box with 20k miles late last summer, has about 34k on it now and i love it.

Basically, you won't go wrong. If you can find a nice 07 classic under 40k, JUMP ON IT.

I got a quote on an 08 crew cab long wheel base, sticker $44,590.00, I could buy it for $35,500.
We got this quote online. I did stop at the dealer tonight after they had closed, and I must say that this a very nice truck.
Btw it's white, so it would match the enclosed trailer.
Thanks again for all the info, it's good to know that so many of you are pleased with your Chevy. I wish I was as pleased with my 04 Dodge 1 ton.
