Fuel Surcharges

Is anyone adding in fuel surcharges to there weekly maintenance visits?
If so How are you figuring what to charge?

Some fellow landscape buddies an I are trying to come up with a formula
one friend thought 8% surcharge to the monthly bill

my uncles are loggers on the west side of the state and they add on an 18% surcharge to there bill.
I'm trying not to add the charge on to my weekly clients by the one time jobs I get I've been adding a 10% charge to the total bill and no one has said boo YET.

I add 3% to total bil and have it stated if fuel goes over $4.25 it's 6% and over $5 its 10%. Plus if I have to double cut or triple cut a yard its another 30% more. Now double cuts if I have to do more then 1/2 of the yard.

Fedex is up to 25% now.
