went by a local dealer today to look at some new equipement for next season. I looked at several different pieces, I would like to know which ones is best suited for my operation. ( new to bizz, solo, part time, residential and commercial customers)

1. m36 13Kc Exmark - $2099.00

2. 48" 15hp Kohler - 2399.00

3. 48" 14 hp Kaw. Husguavan

4. 48" Lazer HP 20hp Kohler - $6699.00

I was thinking maybe 2 wb or the lazer. Thank in advance for the help

What size lawns?

The 36" should do well for a start up mower. Then in the future when you need more productivity, a 48" or larger will help out nicily and fill some voids.

After submitting I saw that you want to but 2 mowers for a solo operation.

36" and 48 will do fine, but I stll think for overhead reasons stick with the 36" till you realy need the 48"

Or vice versa

But the lawns or properties you don't know how big, what size, or what they even look like yet, I would not buy one till you know what you have to mow.

But if financing is the way your going, just keep the money and get one till you know you need to or what.

Then you will know wether yuo need the Lazer, 48" and/or 36" or even a push mower.

That's my $10,000 worth.

The Metro 36 is a very reliable piece. I have one with the Kaw13hp. Had to replace the Peerless trans once. But that's it in 6 years!

Lawngodfather is right. If you don't know what your mowing yet, you can't really find the right equipment.

Although, if you know what areas you plan to target you can check them out and get an idea. If you are going to be in residential areas that have small lawns with small gates you better just get the 36". If you area is mostly larger open lawns then maybe the lazer. Start putting out fliers and see what response you get thru the winter. Buy the mower in the spring.

I started out with a 48" WB and a 21" push (self-propelled). I thought that was fine for starting, along with your string trimmer, edger and blower.
Good Luck
