That sucks. It happened to my friend when he was carrying a load of bricks in his 08 tundra he was going up a bridge and they slid back very violently and bent the tailgate in the exact same place on either side. Turns out it looks really cool and stylish. he took it down to the toyota dealer and they agried and will be sending a picture of it to toyota to see if they will make all of their tailgates with this cool new body line.

I had a pallet of salt in the back of my truck and the lady in front of me slammed on her brakes hard. I hit mine and wham, the pallet slammed into the front of the box pushing the back of my cab in and shattering the back window. I was pissed, but it was my own fault should have had a strap over the pallet or broke down the pallet some so it couldn't move. Live and learn.

that happened to me, not as bad though. I was carrying a pallet of stone and it slid foward. It felt and sounded like it was coming straight through the cab.

i had a tractor in the bed of my truck, and the anchors broke, sending a 1,000 lbs machine into the front of my bed. shattering the rear window.

That is why my duramax gets driven by the wife... and the flatbed goes on the job. Of course, it still gets dented in the grocery parking lot... so I guess you can't win either way

I was driving behind a moron the other day, he had a F150 shortbed with one of those "Back Racks" on it. he had what looked like (3) 16' 2x8s upright, leaning against the back rack, with the butt end of the board at the tailgate.

Sitting there at the light, and I'm looking at this thing, thinking "I wonder if he tied those down, 'cause it doesn't look like it." Light turns green, we start drving down the street. and these boards are shift a bit, then a bit more. Which is when I back waaaayy the hell off, b/c I know we're going around a bumpy curve in a second.

The to the curve, and sure enough, 2 of the three boards go flying off the side.

some guys, just shouldn't drive trucks....

Took a big troy built tiller about a block to get gas. 10.00 for gas in the tiller and 250.00 for when the tiller's brush guard came thru the back window. I tie everything now regardless of distance.

Its coming. I've got the truck back now. In search of a chasis but not looking very hard right now.......too busy. I've got the 4500 running and serving us pretty well at the moment. Once caught up I'll put more effort into it. See the pic? Its got a ways to go....more boxes etc but I like the little guy. Hows things going up north?
