I have a old craftsman gas weed eater 17" 25cc and the gas trigger broke on me. i have looked all over the internet and even went to a lawn repair shop. they gave me a new trigger but it was a little different then the one i have. i dont want to by a new one if i dont have to but i will. the gas trigger i have is a one piece with the cable, the one i bought is to hook or slide the nott through the hole?
Any suggestion would help! the motor on the weed eater still run like new, i hate to get rid of it. (I have had it 10 years)
and yes i did look at sears online and called the parts desk. here is the only number i found on the trimmer.
530-038875 sears say discontinued but no luck anywhere.

What is broke about the trigger? Is it plastic or metal?

the elbow on the plastic, i was going to try to super glue it to see if that helps, or take the cable to the repair shop.

----------------
Before you super glue it,drill two small little holes into each broken piece and put a peg/small nail into the parts to join back up. Makes a much stronger end result.
