Pine Staw Question

I can get Pine Straw square bales that measure 12x24. My question is how much square feet will one bale cover if I want to lay it 3 inches thick?

My project is that I have to cover 1240 square feet with pine straw 3" thick.

I'm in the pinestraw bus., our bales are 13x12x28 and will cover about 25 sq ft @ 3" thick on flat open ground.
