Hey everyone. I am starting a new customer tomorrow and they planted vinca minor (periwinkle) in small planters alongside other shrubs. I have a lot of trimming to do to get it caught up and under control, but I fear I will get tired of trimming the periwinkle by hand:cry:. I am afraid my string trimmer will tear the vines and give me a shabby finish, but my power shears are too big for the amount of trimming ( not to mention it is all at ground level ).

Here's the big question...

Are there any electric hand shears that will get the job done?

Black & Decker makes a cordless combo (interchangeable grass shear/hedge shear) but got poor reviews.
Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks !

For that, I would use hand hedge trimmers to do it and be done. very easy to do.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just not sure of the growth rate of this groundcover and am afraid it will be a nightmare trying to keep up with all the detail work.
