Nothing special here - my wife had the camera out while I actually had the chance to mow my own yard today.

I really enjoy the photos that others have posted, so I thought I would share a couple also.

Crazy dog - funny how they always want to get in the way at the wrong time.
Lawn looks good.

For some reason, my dog (Mastiff) really, really doesn't like my caster wheels.

But, he gives up pretty quickly - usually can be found holding the porch floor down.........

when I mow my own yard I keep the dog in the house. She'll get in the way.

Looks good, except the deck needs adjusted.

How do you like the Deere?

How do you like the Deere?

Where am I out of adjustment?

Before I picked it up, I told my dealer to be sure to adjust the deck to the book. I haven't done the measurements myself yet, but will today.

This is my second Deere (first was a 727A) - so far I like it - love the way the 7IronII deck cuts.

Honestly, it is NOT that bad at all, just a little low in either the front or back, making it to where you can see where each blade cut inside the stripe.

I can agree with that. My yard was always nice when I wasnt cutting yards. But now I might get around to it once a month.

Well, I've taken the constructive criticism in this post, and have made a couple adjustments to the deck - mostly raising the front a bit. It was definitely too low to the front.

Going to do my home yard again today so I will see if this helps in the stripes department.

Ok - looking for some constructive help with the way my deck is cutting.

Since the original group of photos, I raised the front of the deck by about 1/4".
Also raised my overall cutting height by 1/4" (according to the dial).

So here is the result now. The brown thatch you see is still from mowing wet the last 2 times.

I have the handy/dandy mower deck gauge for measuring the deck height and rake, but I have a wooden floor in my barn, and can't get accurate or consistent readings.

Does this look any better?
Any suggestions?
