My dad swears up and down that this is poison ivy, but it neither grows on a vine nor adheres to the standard of having 3 saw-toothed leaves (as in the old adage "leaves of 3 let it be...").

ok but what kind of weed? Whats the name of it? i have been looking for a hours now and i cant even find the d@mn thing.

Tell pops he's wrong. Not poison ivy. Link above has some pics of PI for you. My first guess would be Virginia creeper, but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong. Looks real close to Virginia creeper but not exactly. Here's a link to some pics of virginia creeper.

thats what i thought too but he said its not vine like in anyway. BUT it is the closest.
