23hp kaw oil question

brand new great dane super surfer w/ a 23hp kawasaki what oil do you pros recommend i use.

Any straight regular SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for the first 75 to 100 hours then Amsoil Formula 4-Stroke® 10W-30/SAE 30 Synthetic Small Engine Oil (ASE) till the engine dies in a few thousands of hours.

thanks for the info. I will put mobil 1 10w 30 in now. it has only 13 hrs. then i will go to the amsoil when the time comes. what can i plan on paying per qt for amsoil? also my owners manual says if the temp outside is above 86 then i should use sae 40 , same with amsoil?

I would avoid synthetic oil for the first 50 hours and would not worry about high outside temperature with Amsoil. It will protect your engine much better than SAE-40.
