Billy Goat Slicer Seeder.

O.K. I rented a slicer seeder for a couple of thinner lawns. The thing was a beast. It made poor contact with the soil, regardless of the depth adjustment. Hard to control....I gotta wonder if any seed will germinate from this thing. Surely ther are better slicer seeders on the market...this thing was horrendous!!!

My bluebird works well. I did rent a Bluebird once that worked as you described the Billygoat...didnt even scratch the soil.

I'm sorry for your bad experience. Do you know if the blades were checked for sharpness? Rental companies can be our best advertisers when the product is well taken care of. The flipside of this is that they can be our worst advertisers when they are trying to eek out every last dollar by using dull blades or worn out belts.
