Merit app. timing in southern Michigan??

Hi,
It's been unseasonably cool in southeastern Michigan and I was curious if others have started spreading Merit granular for grub control. Seems a bit early but since it has such a long half life I figured spreading in the next few weeks would be ideal. Thioughts?

I'm waiting until July 1 as I always do. Degree days have a way of evening out by then.

I wait until Round 3. About mid June at the earliest. If you put it on too soon--some of the power will dissipate by the time the eggs hatch. Mid July is probably ideal. I think the Entomology professors at Michigan State University would agree--wait till July 1st.

Toooooo Early! We would start about the end of June. Any sooner and you may have break through.

I agree that it's too early. It's recommended to apply between June 1st and August 15th but mid July is when I like to apply it.
