I put in a bid on a big property turf 45k, 6 treatments, tick control perimeter 3times a year, monthly mosquito control, grub control. $5300.00 the guy has the money but still hims and haws. I was going to call him tonight saying if you sign on for everything ill lime for free and do 2 house perimeter treatments for insects. Do any of you do anything for free to close the deal on a good account?

If I can see they're on the verge, I'll throw them a freebie that costs me virtually no time or cash (like a foundation spray). Otherwise, I just stare at them and let the uncomfortable silence sweat out their committal.

unless you get a signed contract, make sure that free service is late in the year

also make it something that won't require an extra trip or extra manpower.

"if you pay all in cash up front, this means greenbacks, ill
take 10% off everything"

this works on about 90% of my new and existing customers

i personally feel that with the free thing, most people realize
that nothing is free in life--i certainly do
