What is everyone running for trailer sizes ? Right now I am using a 7x12 dump trailer .I know that I will need a minimum of a 16' trailer since I want to use the truck for grass with a dump insert. But I am also concerned about overall length on dead end streets and so forth for turning around.I would love to get an aluminum enclosed, but just cannot afford it right now since I needed the dump trailer for cleanups and mulching jobs.I can only swing an open trailer at this time.

The 7x12 will only hold my ztr and 44 " walkbehind.Have to put the 21" and blower in the truck.I have all new equipment so I could only afford 1 trailer at the time and thought the dump with landscape gate was best of both worlds.

That 2' would make a difference.I would beable to get a push mower, blower and trimmer in there. Can't wait to get the enclosed trailer though.

I want to get a 6x12 enclosed with a v-nose. Anybody no if the v-nose is better the the original rounded front.

I know it helps on a snowmobile trailer since it gives a little extra storage up front.Plus the V-nose is designed to have a door so you can drive off fronm the front.

Bigger is better for a trailer. I only have a 6x12. A 7x16 would be much better. a 7x20 would not be overkill. If you have it, you will find uses for it.

I went from a 5X10 open to a 7X16 enclosed. Wish everyday I would have went with a 8.5X18 enclosed.

Figure out what you think you want and/or need, then buy at least the next size bigger.

I would not go any smaller then a 7x16 because below that it is to small personally. I have a single cab 8ft bed truck with 6.5x16 utility trailer and have no problem getting around town. I am currently waiting on a new Haulin enclosed 7x16 to be built for me. Price here in Ohio around $5100 if you have yet to price them. I debated between the 7x14 and 7x16 for a bit but decided bigger because now that I have a bagger on my Hustler, a walk behind and one push it measures a little over 14ft. I would have been kicking my butt if I would have gotten the smaller trailer due to not measuring all my stuff before buying. Now the problem is I am going to make my truck work harder due to the added weight. Good thing all city driving. Hope this helps, ps measure door opening also because I have one inch to spare with my blower motor on. But I guess it all depends on what type of equipment you have.

5x10 works well for me i can get all the stuff in there but that is about it. eventually maybe next year or sooner i would love to have a truck I have a ford explorer now but want a truck, When i have the dough. Then my trailer will be more than enough room for me because i can put stuff in the truck bed. I also have never owned a truck so i hope it will meet my expectations.:)

When I was ordering my 7x16 enclosed trailer I asked about the V-Nose. The guy said rounded will give you more room and less tongue weight. The v nose you lose room and actually don't save gas by the nose. I plan on fabricating a ramp for the side door to take in and out my push and walker since I asked for a 48'' side door so a rounded seemed to be the way to go. Just look around all the big compainies pull round I hardly see them with a v nose. Salesman said a buddy struggles with a 7x14, and now I am a believer. Hope this helps. 7x16 fits hustlers 60'' with bag, 36'' Proline Encore, 21 Hus push mower and has room to spare infront for tools ect. Curb weight shows it at 2275lbs unloaded. Loaded looking around 4000-4500 with my equipement. Hope my 4.8 285hp 1500 Sierra can do it. Hope this helps

Depends on the manufacturer. My 7X16 is 16' PLUS the area of the V-nose. It gives ALOT of nice storage room.

V-nose does cut the wind better and that = more MPG HELLO LAWS OF PHYSICS PEOPLE..

We have two trailers....

One is a 6.5 x 12 with end and side gate.
There are days We load up one 60" ztr and 36" wb
Other days we add a third 48" ztr
OK before you ask how we have a 60" ztr's a 48" ztr and a 36" wb on a 12' trailer
Look up cub cadet Z-wing

The other is a 7' X 20' with end and side gate.
It will haul two 60" ztr's one 48" ztr and one 36" wb
It's used on days we go to a larger property that requires more mowers. This way we don't have to drive through neighborhoods all day pulling a 20' trailer
and burning more fuel with the weight of four mowers and larger/heavier trailer.

Why pull 5000 lbs when you only need 2000 lbs of equipment.....
By scheduling what equipment you'll need each day and running a lighter load you'll save enough fuel money in just a few years to offset the extra expense for two trailers. Your truck will love the break also.

We used a 8.5 x 14 enclosed at first, we fit a scag 36" or 52" walkbehind up front and a scag 52" tiger cub with bagger and all tools on the walls. We quickly outgrew this trailer and now are using a 8.5 x 20 enclosed. We can fit everything in there. You just have to be comfortable with big trailers. I had considered using my 24' enclosed car hauler, but that extra 4' makes that a pain in the ass.

8.5 by 24 enclosed v-nose 60" tounge with racks, and 3 61 turf tigers by scag.

I have three trailers 5x 10 utility, 6.5x16 utility and a enclosed 7x16 which I use them all on different days depending on the outlook of work. If I dont need the mower I dont take it. Less weight equals less gas use equals more profit. 9 MPG sucks. The pro of enclosed is that I dont really have to unload every night so nothing gets stolen and all things are locked up because there is always a thief around or even a scrapper that will take you $500 dollar push mower to get five bucks at the scrap yard.
