What would you use for root removal & prep

I have a area about 22,000 sq. ft. that the home owner had 40 foot white pines densely packed, cut down and the stumps ground.

What would be the best attachment for a tractor or skid steer to remove as many roots as possible so I can add some compost, amendments and till.

Root grapple on a skid works for us. Make sure the grapple is heavy duty.

If the stumps have been ground, I would use a box blade with the rippers set as low as they'll go. That will pull any roots within the top foot or so out, which should be sufficient for establishing turf.
