What kind of drainage should be put on a football field? How is it done? Any pics?

if you put a crown on a field of that size like the roads the water will naturally drain!! so no drainage needed

Make sure the crown is in good shape, and keep the heavy rollers off of the field. After establishment a compacted football field is tuff to grow grass on. Rely on the crown for drainage. Subsurface drains are a waste of money particulary when you have clayey soils. Water won't move from the small pores in the clay over to the large pores in the gravel, due to differences in surface tension within the pores.
