What is the best way to get rid of wweeds in parking lots. I have a commercial property the has weeds growwing in between the curbs and the asphalt and some in the cracks of the asphalt. What is the best thing i can do to get rid of these and rid myself of this problem. We have used roundup and of course as soon as some die new ones are popping up. Just looking for suggestons.

Thanks in advance,:hammerhead:

round up is what I was going to suggest, thats about all I know for a situation like that. I use it for the same purpose.

NuFarm sells a product called ProDeuce it is Glyphosate and Prodiamine in one mix so it does the pre and post emergent work at one time.

I think you can get it in 2.5 gal jugs or in 1/2 gal bottles.

Once I have my Limited license I will be using the stuff alot! It is $64 a 1/2 gallon @ Lesco and I am waiting for ProSource One to give me a price as well.

A soil sterilent such as Vegemec(from Gordons) keeps curblines and sidewalk cracks weed free for 6-9 months, it also kills existing weeds although we mix it with roundup for a quicker kill. The cheapest product of its kind and the best. 1/5 the price of Sahara(lesco)

Doesn't the new Homedepot roundup advertise that kils and keeps them away for a year? Guess it has pre-m in it now.

You might try a stouter mix, but there's no magical solution.
Weeds keep me in business.

Pramitol. Keeps them away all year.

Just FYI
Pramitol and Vegemec are one in the same.... except, one(Pram) comes in a metal can(usually). Two.. If you buy Pramitol you will spend 3 to 4 times the price of Vegemec. Three...Vegemec has the same contents as Pramitol plus more weed killing 2/4 d and other sterilents.

Glyphosate and surflan mix(orazolin) 2 times a year on all commercial properties.
We spray sidewalks, curb lines, cracks in black top and all areas that have no landscaping.
We probably only have to do it once a year but I hate having a customer come back and say can you spray the cracks.

diesel fuel probably works the best but talk about expensive and most likely illegal... i went with roundup pro seems to be working pretty well on these things, put it on an account about 2 months ago and no regrowth yet

Oh ok. I had worked at a feed store for 3 years before I started landscaping, so I have a slight background in chemicals. Having never dealt with Vegemec, however, I wasn't sure that if they were the same or not. Also, I've never seen Pramitol in a metal can before, just plastic quarts, gallons, and 2 1/2 gallons and of course the granuals. However, that just might have to do with our suppliers and our specific region. Thanks:)
