View Full Version : Srm210 Or Srm230??

I am looking a purchasing a new trimmer because mine died on me today. I only have 4 accounts and only 1 yard has major trimming. Because of my financial situation, I have to go to Home Depot and use my good ole HD Card. If I buy the srm210, I could also buy the stick edger. If the srm230 is worth the extra money then I will buy the edger later. Any one of these trimmers will be a big upgrade from my Ryobi that lasted 8 years.

Thanks for the input

I've never used a 230, but the 210's, in my opinion, are beautiful. I have a PAS260, which is a whole different animal, but for smaller accounts, the 210 should do you fine.

I was thinking the 210 also. On the echo website, there is not much difference between the two. I just thought I could get some experienced opinions.

I have a 210 and I absolutely love it. I'd definitely recommend it.

I have used both. Get the 230--higher torque for the tall stuff.

They are both nice. But I would go with the 210 and get the edger.

230. I had 2 210s, never again. Compared to the 265 T we got, no comparison!!!!!!!

210 is great for little stuff but you will need the power commercially of the 230, I ran the 230 for about 3 years and now feel it is under powered and I stepped up to the new 265 and it is a beast!!!!:usflag:

I like Echo but forget the edger and just learn to make an edge with the string trimmer.

I may get a 265 but I don't know how long it will last with the attachment set up. Is there a weak link by using a 2 piece trimmer design?

That is my concern with the echo edger. I think that I will buy a edger with a solid shaft instead of a cable. I will try to start edging with the trimmer and maybe save some money.
