In-laws had a driveway installed and need a 4' X 75' area sodded (300 sf.). Could someone who does that kind of work tell me how many rolls of sod are needed to cover it.
300 divided by 9 = 33.333333333333 yards
9 is how many square feet in a square yard.
My good deed for today.

Thanks, but your reply still confuses me. I don't do sod so let me expose my ignorance. Are you saying each roll of sod equals one yard and that I need 33 rolls

That is correct. 1 yd. per roll. 2' x4 1/2'. 9 sq. ft..:)

check with your supplier, because i have seen differnt places selling differnt size rolls, or even when you go to order the sod, just tell them the square footage, and let them figure it out

Job complete, in laws happy. They were 1 yard rolls and cost me $1.80 per roll for bluegrass sod.
