Anybody have any input on the Cub Cadet push mowers. Ive had good experiences with their riders on the farm, but not the push mowers. Im looking for a new one, and their on my list.

I have the Cub Cadet push mower. It is the 989. Honda engine, with caster wheels on front. Super nice for mowing. Never have to lift front to turn. AWESOME. Had it 2 years NO PROBLEMS!!!!!

I have the same mower, and he is right, but the caster wheels do get in the way sometimes, which causes more trimming.

Only get the Cub for your own lawn, not to use on the job.

It's made by MTD, and theire quality is not up to commercial use.

Mine stinks. After one use, Half the bolts and wingnuts were missing. I am good at tightening bolts, but one use. I am not a fan.

I was looking at an MTD Pro at Menards, it has a Honda engine, arent hondas pretty good? That would only mean the frame is cheap, and how bad could it be? Mind you Im not doing many lawns.

I'd look for a used 21" mower on Ebay or Craigslist. Look for a Toro, Exmark, John Deere, or Lawnboy.

you my friend have absolutely no idea what you are talking ABOUT WHEN IT COMES to CUB.. THEIR COMMERCIAL GRADE MOWERS ARE VERY NICE..now that pouch that he is talking about is not commecial but decent enough mower for the smaller lawns...

But i would say that you should go with their 33" my guys for some reason fight over it....

STAY AWAY FROM LARGE BOX STORE

you see honda on mtd product. Keep in mind it junk. they are clone plus design not ohv it is ohc which not last plus it break easy.

For me I would choose snapper or toro or honda mower with ohv or lawn mower from dealers not large box store.

Forget the Cub. I sold all their models at my shop last year, and they are all junk. Most came back with parts falling off. Cub no longer makes a good 21" mower.
We were so fed up, we dumped the Cub line.

Boy, that is one big push mower. I have never seen a 33' mower of any kind, let alone a 33' push mower. How many guys does it take to push it???

Just having a little fun at your expense. We all need a laugh now and then. Hope your machines continue to give you good service. That is what is supposed to happen with the machines we buy.

A family member bought the MTD Pro push mower from Menards. The thing seems to cut well and be easy to maneuver. The only downfall is the self propel is soo damn slow.
