has anyone tried to decrease pulley size=more speed?

im about ready to sell my mower cause its about 2mph slower than my TT walkbehind

its a 1998 25hp 60" exmark

has anyone ever made the pump pullies smaller to increase speeed?

figure the pmp will turn faster

not saying by much, obviously too much would make it overheat/blow something

if your lazer is slower than your tt then some thing besides the pullys is wrong. check to see that the lock bolts that hold the crontroll bracket it tight.

larger tires will increase your ground speed for same engine speed
