Electric clutch

I have a turfcruzer and the electric clutch sometime has a delay before it engages. Have blown out and it seems to work for a while. Would appreciate any thoughts on this subject. Also read a thread on changing hydrostatic oil.
Was a big help. 400 hours on unit.

Will try to check the air gap; With snapper there is no mechanical book available that I know of.
