My brother's F-350 was stolen from a field this after noon, the jackass smashed the window, seeing the loose change, and then rummaged through the storage box, noticed a set of keys, and made off with the truck.

He phoned the Police, shortly after filing the report on the scene, the officer told him the truck was found.

Brother- "So where was it found?"

Police- "Langley".

Brother- "So was the aluminum tank ripped off and radio gone?"

Police- "No, but the local Fire Department is also there."

Brother- "WHAT?!?!?"

Police- "Sorry sir, but it sounds like it was torched"

Brother- (I can't post such vulgar language here)

So he lost an entire tank of fuel, both the equipment tank (Tidy Tank) and the truck tank itself gone, aluminum storage box with a pile of hand tools, all the spare keys and his cheque books. He's pissed right now. Even trying to tell him that insurance will cover this, it's still not consoling him, I think this was his favourite truck.

Sorry to hear about that! I am both a Police Officer and Firefighter when I am working for "the man". I get great satisfaction out of catching criminals in the act when they think they have to steal from the working man or destroy his property. Hope your brother gets some sort of cooperation out of his insurance co. Though, I realize what a pain it is for hard working folks to have to replace their own belongings!

I'm not totally sure but I think it might be a problem with the insurance agency that he had a set of keys in the truck.

At the very least they'll make it very hard for him if not fully blame him for leaving some keys in the truck and try to pass the claim off.

I learned this morning that we know who stole it, a crack head across the road that heard the noise the ignition makes when you leave the keys in when the door is opened, also eye witness reports that they saw 2 men with a dog driving erratically, the person across the road from where it was stolen was the only person in the middle of no where to do it, the tank and storage box were stolen, then the truck was ditched and torched at the the other end of the Valley.

I am so going to fire bomb that dude's house tonight.
